RÖNESANS HOLDING AND SONATRACH BUILD POLYPROPYLENE PRODUCTION IN TURKEY

The Turkish conglomerate Rönesans Holding and the Algerian state oil and gas company Sonatrach signed an agreement to build a petrochemical complex for the production of polypropylene in Turkey.

Production will be organized in the southern Turkish city of Adana, in the petrochemical industrial zone of Ceyhan-Mega, which was created as a part of a framework cooperation agreement between Rönesans Holding and Rotterdam, Europe’s largest port.

It is expected that the plant will produce 450 thousand tons of polypropylene per year.
