Two new ethylene production complexes are planning to build by Nizhnekamskneftekhim, PJSC and Linde, the German chemical company. Construction is planned for autumn 2019.
Cooperation agreement on the construction of the ethylene complex was signed in 2017 at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum. The companies concluded a basic agreement on the implementation of contracts for the design, supply of equipment, the provision of licenses and commissioning of capacities for the production of 600 thousand tons of ethylene per year by each of the complexes.
The new plant will help to increase the production of ethylene to 1.8 million tons, the production of polymers by three times and the production of rubbers – up to 1 million tons.
