Kazanorgsintez has launched a new plant for the carbon black concentrate production

“A new installation for the carbon black concentrate production was launched at the plant of the low-pressure polyethylene production and processing of Kazanorgsintez,” as the press service of the company said. It is supposed that the created object will product 20 thousand tons of raw materials per year. The installation uses equipment from Coperion and Krauss Maffei berstorff companies (Germany).

Carbon black concentrate (masterbatch) is used for the light stabilization of polyethylene. Actually, it is a natural dye. Masterbatch is used in the production of “black” grade of low-pressure polyethylene PE2NT11-9, intended for the manufacture of pipes and fittings for gas distribution networks, pressure pipes and fittings.

The launch of the new installation will allow both to cover the current needs of Kazanorgsintez in carbon black concentrate, and to sell it to third-party buyers or expand the tube brand production.

The company will also implement a flexible scheme for obtaining carbon black from the outside by various forms of supply: trailers, railway hoppers, in big bags.
