A joint project, carried out by the Swedish State Research Institute (RISE), the Scandinavian Enviro Systems tire recycling company and the Ragn-Sells waste recycling company, is studying the opportunity of producing pyrolysis oil from old tires.
The aim of the study is to evaluate three different approaches to the production of pyrolysis oil from old tires, in order to obtain higher quality products. The Scandinavian Enviro Systems factory participate in this project in Osnabruck.
”The initial results look promising, so we hope that the project will contribute to the environmental recycling of tires," Enviro representatives said.
RISE, for its part, provides for the project its laboratories and pilot facilities in Pitea r and Sodertalje.
