Arkema expands the production of polyamides at the Mont plant in France. The volume of investment in the project will be about 20 million euros.
According to the company, this decision was made because of the high demand growth in the world for polyamide powders used for the production of AKZ coatings, composites, 3D printing and other materials for industrial use.
The concern intends to increase capacity by 50% of a certain type of products - powders under the brand name Orgasol and expand the range of products.
The start of the project implementation is planned for the second half of 2019.
Recall, Arkema strengthens its position in the market of polyamides. In February 2018, the company announced the expansion of the production site for the production of polyamide 12 under the brand Rilsamid on the basis of the industrial complex Arkema Changshu (China). It is expected that by mid-2020 the capacity of the plant will increase by 25%.
