A technology for a super-strong polymer material production has been developed in Podolsk

The engineers of the Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering have developed a technology for a super-strong polymer material production. The physicomechanical indicators of the new polymer are 15–20% higher than the polymeric materials currently used, and the resistance to cyclic loads exceeds the same index of other materials by 2-3 times.

The basis of the composition of modern high-strength polymeric materials is the use of polyamides, a certain type of additives, and glass or carbon fiber as a reinforcing component. Granular high-strength polymeric materials processed into finished products are used as raw materials for production of plastic parts of small arms, packages, boxes and containers for the storing and transporting of optical electronic devices and weapons.
